IPL SRA ELOS on the Aurora platform by Syneron utilizes the same principles as laser but also emits a broad-spectrum light. It reaches several layers of the skin simultaneously and is the safer and more effective choice than a stand-alone laser.

This combined technology of light and electrical radio frequency energy works by heating the target areas, which restores skin to a more youthful state but diminishing blemishes, age-spots and spider veins.

There are no long-term health hazards from light or electric energies used in the Aurora. Both have been used for decades in medicine, surgery, and aesthetics without adversity.

SRA can treat pigmentation and spider veins, and the expected outcomes are:

• PIGMENTATION, AGE-SPOTS, SUN-DAMAGE – after the initial treatment areas of pigment will appear slightly darker, within a few days the pigment will begin to fade revealing clear skin. 1 – 4 sessions maybe required.
• SPIDER VEINS, BROKEN CAPILLARIES – these clear almost immediately following the procedure, however 1 – 4 sessions maybe required.

Your skin problem and type is carefully assessed before the treatment is considered, this treatment is not suitable on dark Asian or black skin, skin type V & VI.

• The skin is cleansed
• Cooling gel is applied to allow the hand-piece to glide smoothly over the skin
• The SRA hand-piece will be in contact with the skin as the energies are introduced
• The sensation is a quick snapping or hot pinch feeling
• You may feel warmth or tingling sensation for a short time afterwards and your skin may look like it has mild sunburn
• Your practitioner will be communicating with you at all times to ensure the treatment is as comfortable as possible.
• We complete the treatment by applying a foundation makeup containing an SPF, to ensure you leave the clinic looking photo ready

Each treatment will result in gradual lightening and improvement of pigmented and vascular imperfections. Textural improvements are appreciated towards the end of the treatment series.

Treatments are repeated every 2 to 4 weeks and the number of treatments required will vary on what is being treated, therefore 1 to 4 treatments may be required. However it is common for age spots and spider veins to be cleared after 1 or 2 treatments.
